Welcome to Aurea Nova
Aurea Nova was founded in 2025 by Charlotte and Clare, who first met during their MBA. Over countless coffees and late-night conversations, they discovered how much of their story was shared.
Between them, Charlotte (a lawyer) and Clare (a governance specialist) had built careers navigating boardrooms, negotiations, and leadership challenges. On paper, they had ticked the boxes: qualifications, career milestones, achievements they were proud of. Yet, like so many women, they still faced moments where confidence wavered.
As they spoke with women across law, finance, policy, media, healthcare and beyond, the same themes kept emerging. From those just starting out to those leading teams, barriers were clear: structural, cultural, and personal.
It’s rarely about a lack of talent. More often, it’s about not having access to the right networks, visibility in the right rooms, or sponsorship that opens doors. And too often, in high-stakes moments like interviews, workplaces reward confidence over genuine competence.
This is the gap Aurea Nova was created to close.
Why Aurea Nova?
The name comes from Latin: 'aurea' meaning golden, and 'nova' meaning new.
It symbolises fresh beginnings and the chance to create something brighter, stronger, and more valuable together. A golden new chapter for ambitious women.
